Candidate #5: Festive overture
Possibility of #ViolaFail: Moderate to High, due to visual messiness
I played this several years ago, and the handwritten part, along with a dot on every note, plus the divisi, drove me crazy. Again, I had to put in too much mental energy and concentration to play a passage that wasn’t difficult.
Here’s my version, written on two staves, and formatted so that you can insert this part into the “physical/real” part. Even if you don’t play off of this insert, practicing the passage written out will be much easier, and then perhaps the cluttered part won’t matter as much.
